They teach, play, dress, cook, shop, make music and smile. They become friends and mentors.
They are invaluable. They are volunteers.

Across the county, Community Living Elgin relies on those who can lend time and skills to assist with programs that help the developmentally disabled live life to the fullest within their own communities. We depend on the talents and big hearts of many volunteers who contribute to the lives of the more than 400 adults, children and families we support.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers needed before Jan 31, 2016 to run bingos at Jackpot City on behalf of Community Living Elgin. There are 2 bingos per month maximum and each bingo requires two volunteers for 2.5 hours of your time. Times of bingos vary - some may start at 12:00 noon and some may start at 11:00 pm and any time in between. Funds raised by the bingos have assisted Community Living Elgin to pay for a Bus Trip to the Jays Game each spring, for the technology equipment for the people we support and for accessible vehicles. Training at the Bingo Hall will be provided.
